Emerging Sounds podcasts feat: Sam Mhkize, Maisha, Willy B, Lo7dc7ank & More

Welcome to ReUnite’s Emerging Sounds, I am Elvis.  This is the pilot episode for our new Podcast show, where we will honour and empower South African independent musicians. A platform where we will feature new tracks and unheard-of music/musicians and have conversations with emerging artists, icons in the music industry and more. For this episode, we have a few tracks supplied by friends and new talent that we believe are worth hearing.

“I think about how my sound is and where I’m going artistically. It’s something different from what’s happening in South Africa” That’s what Maisha had to say. This young talent we found through our friend Das Kapital’s group In Das We Trust. When a song sounds so different from the usual music you hear you have to include it in your playlist and that is why we include Midnight Club a Maisha edit our playlist.

Many of you may know him as a tattoo artist who is part of Descriptive Art, I am talking about none other than Rick Ink. He recently released a track called Tides feat Chaise Williams and Andre Graham.

April Fool now this track is by two of our own homies, Willy B and Lorenzo. I knew the boys had bars but they brought it with this record. Willy B had this to say: “I’d be overjoyed if they  the  audience  can connect and relate in their own personal way, while also bumping to some dope beats and bars”

Our friends over at Mud Pie Records sent us a track by a talented artist named Sam Mkize

Able to play various instruments at the tender age of six years, coupled with his passion to listen, create and perform music was all it took for Samuel Mkhize to find his way into South Africa’s booming house industry. a True a rare talent to the industry

We reached the end of this episode, make sure you check us on all social media and find our group Emerging Sounds on Facebook. Until the next episode, I am Elvis see you next time take care.
